Dr. Dreyer received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota. He has been practicing for over 40 years and has been the Director of Psychological and Neuropsychological Services at PsyCare since 2000. He has an extensive background in both the assessment and treatment of various mental disorders. Dr. Dreyer also has developed an active forensic practice, conducting neuropsychological and/or psychological evaluations for both civil and criminal cases. He is the Neuropsychological Consultant for the Charleston Area Medical Center Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, and is also a Clinical Associate Professor for the West Virginia University Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry.
Dr. Dreyer has also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Marshall University Psychology Department Psy.D. program. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Specialties with Forensic Specialty in both Clinical and Neuropsychology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Advanced Practice Psychologists. Dr. Dreyer is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and is a member of the American Psychological Association, West Virginia Psychological Association and International Neuropsychological Society, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Dreyer is a past President of the West Virginia Psychological Association and is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
