Anxiety and Stress Disorders
Stress and anxiety are a normal part of life for children and adolescents alike. However, when stressful situations or anxieties start to cause problems in day to day living—it would be a good time to contact a healthcare professional. Seeing a professional at this stage of life can be very helpful as your children grow and develop.
OCD
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in children happens with they have unwanted thoughts, feelings or fears that can make them feel anxious and scared. Many times they will have compulsive issues or rituals that they feel compelled to do over and over to help settle themselves. Many of us may double check the lock on the door or the switch on the stove, which is normal. But, sometimes these rituals develop and can interfere in their life. If your child is having irrational or intense thoughts, or feelings that are concerning, give us a call.
